The team
A small team of college students, kept small on purpose.
Structure
Four roles, each held by one or two students.
- Company outreach: finds companies with a reason to care, writes proposals, and keeps the relationships
- Grant writing: applies to grant programs that fund economic opportunity, and reports back to them
- Student review: reads applications, confirms positions with labs, and sets what each student needs covered
- Editorial: helps students turn research into published articles
The founder and director of operations handles fundraising and grant writing and coordinates the four roles.
Why we stay small
Every person we add needs coordinating, and every dollar we spend on marketing is a dollar that does not reach a student. We would sooner fund one more summer of housing.

For companies and foundations
Fund a student researcher
Your gift pays for rent, a stipend, books, or a journal fee. It goes to a student who has the position and lacks the money to take it.
